Criminal Background Checks

HCMS offers low cost employee criminal background checks to help practices maintain a safe clinical and business environment. The cost is $40 per applicant, including applicants with multiple names/aliases.
Searches include: 
  • Local Harris County criminal convictions, not including Class C misdemeanors.
  • National, local and state offenses, excluding Wyoming and North Dakota. Does not include Federal offenses.
  • Medicare fraud checks. Individuals are excluded from participation, including claim filing, in Medicare, Medicaid and all other Federal health care programs.
