CME Programs and Calendar

Have fun and network with colleagues in your local community.

HCMS meetings are your opportunity to network for referrals, earn CME (usually ethics) credit and enjoy a relaxing evening with colleagues in your community.

Click on the HCMS meeting link, for details on upcoming in-person and virtual CME programs (usually ethics) programs. They include:

• Branch Society meetings - Each of the seven geographic branches meet twice a year in person, providing a networking reception, dinner and CME presentation.  
• Business Expo - A no cost annual event where you can earn up to four CMEs and meet with businesses offering products and services to meet your professional and personal needs.
• Member Appreciation Day - An annual event celebrating our HCMS members with family fun at The Health Museum and includes ethics CME.
• Women Physicians Section - Membership consists of HCMS female physician members and those who request to join the Section. The section meets twice a year. 
• Texas Medical Association (TMA) topic-related live, web, printed, or podcast CME seminars - Go to texmed.inreachce.com to register or learn more. 

TMB - CME Requirements and CME Tracking

• The Texas Medical Board (TMB) explains the requirements for Continuing Medical Education in relation to a physician's biennial registration period.
• TMB has partnered with CE Broker, an online continuing education compliance platform, to provide licensees with an additional tool to help them more easily find, track, and report continuing education coursework.
• HCMS has helpful tools to aid in understanding CME requirements and keeping the information organized. The Physician License Renewal is a consolidated, one-page outline of CME requirements. The Physician CME Checklist provides a CME log along with a checklist based on your specialty
