Young Physicians Organization Meeting

New Member/Young Physician Virtual Reception

This unique complimentary reception is designed to introduce new and young members to the many benefits and services available through HCMS membership. The New Member/Young Physician Reception is held in early August each year. Marketing 101 - Develop Your Patient Base

This Ethics CME presentation is typically held in the summer and  focuses on how to grow your patient base and referral network by utilizing HCMS and TMA tools available to you to support those efforts. Regardless of whether you are a young physician developing your practice or an established physician facing a retiring referral base, it is important to know the tools available to you to grow your practice. Many physicians assume that the process is expensive and time consuming. It doesn't have to be. It just has to be disciplined and HCMS can help. This event is open to physicians and their staff.  Women Physicians

The HCMS Women Physicians Section operates as a component of the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS) and is governed by the Bylaws of HCMS. It is organized to strengthen female physicians' engagement and representation in HCMS and the Texas Medical Association through the development of relevant programming and services. Membership consists of HCMS female physician members and those who request to join the Section. The Section meets twice a year. The next event will be on Tuesday, October 19 - mark your calendar! The 1 hour ethics CME program topic will be on "Preventing and Managing the Threat of Workplace Violence" by Linda Schoonmaker, JD. Medical Student Mixer

The annual First-Year Medical Students' Mixer for first-year students from Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and The University of Texas Medical School at Houston enables students to meet other students and HCMS physician leaders. Member Appreciation Day at The Health Museum

Enjoy this no-cost family fun event which is held annually at the John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science.  This event is invitation only in honor of our HCMS members.
