HCMS/HAM Installation of Officers and Leadership Recognition Event

Join your colleagues in honoring the 2026 officers at the Harris County Medical Society/Houston Academy of Medicine (HCMS/HAM) Installation of Officers and Leadership Recognition on Friday, January 23, 2025 at the Petroleum Club of Houston at 1201 Louisiana St., Houston, TX 77002.  

Officers to be installed will be Louise H. Bethea, MD as president of the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS), and Brian M. Bruel, MD, as president of the Houston Academy of Medicine (HAM), as well as the 2026 leadership of HCMS and HAM. The Master of Ceremonies will be Dexter Turnquest, MD, TMA Board of Trustees and Past President of HCMS. The invocation will be given by Bishop Hector Monterroso, The Episcopal Diocese of Texas and the keynote speaker will be May Daher, MD, Associate Professor Department of Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, Division of Cancer Medicine, to present on their research of the development of chimeric antigen receptor natural killer-cell therapy.    

- For security reasons, no walk ins will be allowed at this event 

Reception - 6:30 to 7:00 pm
Dinner & Program - 7:05 pm
