Help Patients Fight Narrow Networks
Often, a health plan’s network is not large enough to cover all physician specialties needed for all the members in the plan. Patient complaints about inadequate networks have become more commonplace and include problems locating a specialist who is accepting new patients, finding a physician within reasonable driving distance from the patient’s home, or inaccurate information in the plan’s provider directory.

The Texas Medical Association (TMA) has drafted Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) customizable complaint letter you can provide to your patients in both English and Spanish.
Providers and patients may also file a network complaint to TDI.
