The Harris County Physician Newsletter has a circulation of 8,900+. Twenty issues are published each year bi-monthly, except in the summer months and in January when only one issue is published per month. HCMS/HAM Pictorial Roster - Currently accepting ads for the 2010 edition!
The HCMS/HAM Pictorial Roster (the Roster) is the HCMS membership directory. It has consistently rated as the number one membership benefit by HCMS physicians. The directory is published annually and has a circulation of approximately 12,000. It reaches about 75% of all the physicians that practice in the Greater Houston area. It is used by physicians and staff for patient referral and as a guide to companies that serve physicians. Every HCMS member physician receives a free copy of the Roster. The Roster is available for purchase each year starting April. Advertising in the Roster is accepted August through December. All Roster advertisers are also listed on-line in the Practice Resources section and receive a complimentary copy of the book.

HCMS Business Expos - Plan for 2010! Our dates are set.
HCMS sponsors two business expos each year, in the spring and in the fall. Each expo is a city-wide one day event held on a Saturday. The focus of each expo is on the “business side of medicine”, providing physicians 3 CMEs on how they can enhance their practice and patient care as well as introducing physicians to 60-70 organizations that serve physicians in private practice. Organizations are invited to be exhibitors and sponsors at the expo. The expos are great venues to meet physicians practicing across the Greater Houston area, establish a relationship, and share information about your products and services.

HCMS holds numerous meetings for physicians and medical students throughout the year. The meetings are either geographic in nature (based on the part of town in which the physician practices) or demographic in nature (young physicians, hospital chiefs of staff, etc.). Organizations interested in meeting these sub-groups of physicians are welcome to sponsor those events. Most meetings are held in the evenings on weekdays, provide networking opportunities, and focus on the “business side of medicine.”
Friends of the Society - Currently accepting new applications until Jan. 15, 2010.
Businesses that serve physicians and their staff can increase their visibility among HCMS members by joining the Friends of the Society Program. Friends of the Society not only enjoy preferred registration for all HCMS venues to market their business, but they also benefit from additional marketing venues not available outside the program. Businesses serving physicians and their staff are invited to join Friends of the Society to increase their brand recognition and customer base.
